Autobureau delivers real-time vehicle registration data to DPPA compliant businesses that are involved in the selling, financing, titling and repossession of motor vehicles. Subscribers are able to search on-demand for up to five registration records at one-time by Vehicle Identification Number ("VIN") or license plate number. The system immediately responds with the most current record(s) on file for each request and the end-user is able to print the formatted record to a laserjet printer.
Autobureau also calculates the Tax, Title and Licensing ("TT&L") fees for the applicable jurisdiction where the vehicle is being titled. This eliminates costly refund checks and unclaimed property by ensuring that there are no discrepancies between the amount collected by the business from the tax payer, and the amount remitted by the business to the applicable jurisdiction. The DMV Fee Calculator currently provides TT&L fees for each County (or Parish) in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and New Mexico. TT&L fees for all 50 states will be available in 2019.
In addition, AIB is working with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators ("AAMVA") to become a Certified data provider of the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System ("NMTVIS"). NMVTIS data is expected to be available on the Autobureau platform in 2019.
